From: "Kachelriess Robert A." Ok. I was watching the Cheap Seats video today and when the video for Caught in My Shadow came on, I picked up my guitar and made an attempt to play along. The following are the chords I figured out to the best of my knowledge. It's probably not that accurate so any feedback from any guitar players out there (ie. Phil Grant) would be appreciated. This is just the rhythm. All chords - no picking or anything. It's played with a capo on the second fret. So I wrote down the chords as if the third fret was the first and...you know what I mean. CAUGHT IN MY SHADOW ------------------- CHORDS: D OOO232 Dsus4 OOO233 G 32OO33 Em O22OOO C O32O10 Am OO221O Cadd9 O32O33 ----------------------- INTRO: D G D G (just play each chord once at the beginning of each measure) INTRO/CHORUS: D Dsus4 D G D Dsus4 D G Caught In My Shadow VERSES (each one repeats): Em These streets used to look big D This town used to look like a city C G These people used to talk to me (repeat Chorus) Em Offer me the bait, I'd fake it D Offer me the cake, I'd bake it C Generally I'd try to fake it G But these days I'd rather face it (repeat Chorus) (repeat Intro) BRIDGE: D Dsus4 D It's not enough I gave my blood G Cadd9 G My sweat, my tears, and all I said I would RHYTHM UNDER SOLO: Am Em G Dsus4 D Dsus4 D Dsus4 (repeat Chorus a few more times) ---------------------------------- Like I said, I don't know how accurate this is. I'm posting more for the purposes of feedback rather than "Here it is. All done. Enjoy". Especially questionable is the Cadd9 towards the end of the bridge. Also, I might've left out some Dsus4's during the parts where they alternate with the D's. Regardless, the rhythm and chord changes should be pretty instinctive to anyone familiar with the song.
